Marjorie E. (Gough) Enright

Enright, Marjorie E. (Gough) Age 85, passed away at Bells Nursing Center, Bells, TN on January 15, 2016. Marge was born and raised in Boston, MA, and lived at 'her' lake (Medicine Lake, MN) 47 years, until her recent relocation to Jackson, TN to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law Kelly and James Christoferson. At age 22 Marge traveled to Japan to work as a civilian in the secretarial pool attached to the military; and it was in Japan that she met, fell in love with and married (1955) her sweetheart, Bill. Upon their return to the States, Marge and Bill ultimately settled into their home on Medicine Lake, where she raised her children, enjoyed the company of family and friends, and reveled in the sights, sounds and the smell of the water that surrounded her daily. Bill retired in 1985, and they spent the next 15+ years pursuing their shared passion - world travel. They left their footprints on literally every continent, exploring every corner of the world; including treks to see polar bears in Arctic Canada and penguins in Antarctica. Marge was adventurous, inquisitive and devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A.; parents, Charles and Eveline Gough; and brother David. Survived by sons William M. (Susan) of Medicine Lake, MN, David S. (Ann) of Forest Lake, MN and daughter Kelly L. Christoferson (James) of Jackson, TN and her nine grandchildren, in whom she found immense joy. Marge's final wishes were to be cremated, and that her family celebrate her life in a small, private gathering. Memorials are preferred to either the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (pdf.org).
