Eileen A. Otto

Otto, Eileen A. age 95, of rural Lester Prairie passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Mary's Care Center in Winsted. She was born on June 9, 1920 in Winsted Township the daughter of Eugene & Angela (Fasching) Stifter. On May 23, 1944, Eileen A. Stifter and Henry A. Otto were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with nine children. Eileen and Henry engaged in dairy farming in Winsted Township on the Otto homestead for many years. She was a lifelong, faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She also belonged to Council of Catholic Women, Holy Family Council #204, and The St. Ann's Society. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking and being a volunteer at Church. Survived by children: Karen (David) Schoen, Lois (Richard) Nolan, Kenneth (Delores) Otto, Ronald (Darlene) Otto, Robert (Colleen) Otto, Laurence Otto, Richard (Sharon) Otto and Susan (Jeff) Muenchow; a son-in-law: Bill Graham; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren; a brother: Gerard Stifter; sisters: Sister Corina Stifter, OSF, Marie Gockowski, Teckla Ambrose, Lucy Klos and Gladys Hintz; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Henry A. Otto, a daughter Kathleen Graham, her parents, a sister Gertrude Wellenstein and by an infant brother Eugene Stifter. A Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen Otto will be held on Monday, February 8th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant.
