McIntire, James O. of Chanhassen, MN passed away at his home on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the age of 60 years as a result of heart failure. During his youthful and healthy years, Jim was an active, athletic person participating in running and biking events, kayaking, scuba diving and riding his motorcycle. Jim graduated with a B.S. from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. He held employment at GE, GNB (Gould), MTS, Northwest Airlines, and as an independent financial systems consultant. Jim was married to Kathryn Fasching. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Emily Kathryn. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Ellen McIntire and his brother, John of Ossian, IN. He is survived by his wife, Kathy and daughter, Emily as well as his sister, Mona Simerman (Lew), brother, Tom; many nieces and nephews, extended family, and wonderful neighbors and friends. At Jim's request an anatomical bequest was made to the Mayo Clinic in hopes of assisting with research and education. A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at 11 AM at Huber Funeral Home Chapel, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie. Visitation one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service.
