Lindskog, Bernice age 91 of Minneapolis & Babbitt, MN. She lost her lengthy battle with Alzheimers Disease on January 28, 2016, at Carefree Living in Babbitt, MN. Born on May 26, 1924, to Andrew and Elsie Thomsen near Hendricks, MN, she was the oldest of their six children. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marshall Lindskog; her brother Leo Thomsen; sisters Lavonne Schwartz and Shirley Shane; nephews Kelly Thomsen and Larry Shane; nieces Tari Shane and Patricia Shane. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Joe Rokke of Orono; son Erik Lindskog of Ely, MN; grandson Christopher Rokke of Cloquet, MN; granddaughter Jennifer Rokke of Bloomer, WI; sisters Ardis Hewitt of Havre, MT; June (Junell) Remme of Belle Plain, MN; and 18 beloved nieces and nephews. Bernice was a devoted member of Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church in Minneapolis for over 50 years where she was very involved with the altar guild. She volunteered with the Neighborhood Involvement Program and as a Girl Scout leader. She and Marshall spent summers at their cabin near Ely where she joined him on numerous fishing adventures. Her favorite pastimes there were picking blueberries, walking and working in her garden. Her family will miss her smile, pleasant disposition and sense of humor, but most of all, her unconditional love.
