Barbara Jean (Ginn) Hagenson

Hagenson, Barbara Jean (Ginn) age 78, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on January 15 surrounded by the love of her family. Barbara was born July 19, 1937 in Chicago, Ill to Kenneth and Eva (Reichardt) Ginn. A 1955 graduate of Monroe High School and a 1959 graduate of the Hamline University School of Nursing, she spent most of her professional career as a surgical nurse at Methodist Hospital. In 1962 she married Ronald Hagenson and began an exciting adventure that included living in the Netherlands, international travel and raising their three children. She will be remembered for enjoyment of tennis, soap operas, social hour with neighbors, annual trips to Hawaii and gourmet dinners with friends. Late in life she started taking watercolor classes and discovered both a talent and great joy. Her greatest love was her family, with her biggest smiles reserved for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Richard Ginn of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and Marjorie Ginn of Rochester, Minnesota, and husband Ron who was and will forever be the love of her life. She is survived by children Patty (Greg) Bloom of Plymouth; Nancy (John) O'Brien of Plymouth and Michael (Anika) Hagenson of Edina as well as her beloved eight grandchildren: Jordan, Kaitlin, Landon, Danny, Shea, Anja, Joey and Kjell. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on February 8, 2016 at Community United Methodist Church at 9225 Jason Ave NE in Monticello.
