Burkhartzmeyer, Walter H. "Putts" age 93, of Faribault, died on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Funeral services Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, 10/17, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Visitation Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, 10/16 from 4 to 7 PM and also at the church for one hour prior to the services on Saturday. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Together with his brothers, Alvin and Buck, Putts owned and operated Burkhartzmeyer Shoes in downtown Faribault. Survivors include four children, Julie Ylinen of Brooklyn Center, Jan Burkhartzmeyer of Maple Grove, Steve (and Lisa) Burkhartzmeyer of Faribault and Tom (and Kim) Burkhartzmeyer of Faribault; five grandchildren, Kara (and boyfriend, Chris Folstad), Tess, Cody, Jori and Kayli Burkhartzmeyer; one brother, Donald "Buck" Burkhartzmeyer of Faribault. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruthann; one grandson, Kyle Burkhartzmeyer; one brother, Alvin Burkhartzmeyer; one son-in-law, Kevin Ylinen; one sister-in-law, Delilah Burkhartzmeyer; and one brother in law, Kenneth Drentlaw.
