McDonough, John J. Age 94, of Bloomington, MN passed away on October 3, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude and grand-daughter Amy Holllister. Survived by children, Colleen McDonough, Jack (Sandi) McDonough 4 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He grew up in St. Paul, MN and moved to Bloomington, MN in 1958. John was a 33 year employee of The Aslesens Company. A day spent with his family and relatives was the best way he could spend his time. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and traveling in His RV. He and Gertrude spent 25 great winters in Florida and following the sun. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10 a.m. at Nativity of Mary Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave So, Bloomington, MN 55420. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave So, Bloomington, MN 55420 and 1 hour prior to Mass at Church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
