Nesse, Joyce I. Passed away peacefully on Oct. 4 with her family by her side. She was born on June 9, 1926 in Fosston, MN. Preceded in death by loving husband of 49 years, Gunnar; brother, Howard; and sister, Evie. Survived by children, Diane (Mark) Meier, Curt (Brenda) Nesse; grandchildren, Daniel, Michelle, Nicole (Jim), Kristine (Shane), Erika (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Carter, Maxwell, Jackson and Macklin; sisters-in-law, Jenny Nesse and Judy Hanson; many other relatives and friends. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran for over 50 years and proud of her skills as a cosmetologist. She loved watching birds, tending her flowers, crossword and Sudoku puzzles, and baking her famous cookies. She loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Funeral service at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 8600 Fremont Ave S., Bloomington, 11:00 AM on Friday, Oct. 9. Visitation Thursday, Oct. 8 from 5-8 PM at the Washburn-McReavy Bloomington Chapel and one hour prior to service at church.
