Sam B. Morison

Morison, Sam B. Age 93 of Edina. Passed away September 29, 2015. He is preceded in death by parents Sam B. and Edith Morison and brother Chester. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on July 5, 1922 and later moved to Minneapolis, where he attended Lake Harriet School and graduated from West High School in Minneapolis. After serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he received a BBA from the University of Minnesota in 1948, where he was a Member of DKE fraternity. He attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking in 1959. He worked at Northwestern National Bank (now Wells Fargo) for 39 years before his retirement in 1987. He became Vice President and Manager of the Lake St. Office, and then President of Norwest Bank-University/Midway. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Among other things, he will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness to others. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen, daughters Susan Anderson (Paul) and Sally Eibs (Jack), grandchildren Sam and Jane Anderson and Jordan and Jaimie Eibs and many wonderful friends. The family would like to thank the CORE staff at UM Physicians Heart at Fairview, especially Dr. Norman Chapel, Amy Kadletz and Tiffany for their special care during his illness.
