Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie Weber; husband, Robert (Bob) Harris; grandson, Kevin Szarzynski and special friend Floyd Gooding. Lorraine was born July 17, 1924 in Minneapolis. She dedicated her life to family. She learned at an early age to be an independent, confident, organized and "take action" person after losing her father as a teen. A 1942 Roosevelt High School graduate, Lorraine married her high school sweetheart, Bob Harris, during World War II. She supported the war effort by working at Honeywell making torpedoes while Bob served in the Army. After two short relocations to Dallas and Chicago, Lorraine and Bob returned to Minneapolis to raise their family. She launched a working life in her late forties working at old retail greats Bjorkman Furs, Powers and Dayton's department stores. After Bob's death in her early fifties She worked at the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) office until she retired. She was a master family photographer and historian, avid doll collector, loved musicals and all things theater. In her own words as left to her children, "It's been a great trip...see you later." Lorraine's infectious laugh, sparkling smile and huge presence will be greatly missed by her children: son, Gary Harris (Sheila) of Bloomington MN, daughter, Gail Szarzynski (Ron) of Eden Prairie MN; grandchildren, Ryan Szarzynski (Sara), Brieann Remiger, Brett Harris (Susan), Kyle Szarzynski, Justin Szarzynski; great-grandchildren, Brayden Szarzynski, Ethan Szarzynski, Harrison Remiger and Evelyn Harris; special family friends, Judy and Gene Hovey.
