Johnson, Shirley C. 85, of Edina MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Friday morning November 8th, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Eden Prairie MN. Shirley was born on November 29th, 1934 to Kenneth and Solveig Campbell in Duluth MN. She is survived by her Children; Jeff Nelson, Sally Anne Nelson-Werner (Neal Werner son in-law), and Stacey Nelson. Two of Shirley's children, Kim Nelson, and Sue Nelson, are deceased. Grandchildren; Megan Horovitz-Werner, Heather Nelson-Precht ( son in-law Zak Precht), Matthew Nelson, Jacob Nelson, and Robert Werner. Great Grandchildren; Haley Precht, Hanna Precht, Zak Precht Jr and Hayden Precht. She was married to Evan L. Nelson Jr. MD, and a second marriage to Bruce H. Johnson. Shirley was a wonderful mother and friend. She had many talents and ambitions. She was an artist, she had a keen eye for interior design and she had an ambition and passion for travel experiences, which drove her to open her own successful Travel Agency business. She was an amazing hostess, providing decades of excellent homemade meals followed by her famous desserts. She had a strong passion to host holiday parties for family and friends, but the very most important thing to her in life was being able to shower her children with her unconditional caring love.
