Wigen, Gerald W. age 77 of Minnetrista, passed away 10/31/2019. He graduated from Edina H.S. in 1960 and joined the Marine Corps shortly thereafter. On May 22, 1965, he married Joanne Ross, and they remained together until her untimely passing in 2014. He enjoyed a 45-year career in the water business, before retiring in 2010. When his kids were young, he was very involved in the Eden Prairie youth hockey association and was the chairperson of the referendum that built the Eden Prairie Community Center, which currently houses three rinks. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne, father Walter, mother Katherine and sister Sandy. He is survived by his brother Richard; three sons and their children, Jeff (Susan and sons Chace & Beckett) of Victoria; John of Frisco, TX; and Jim (and his daughter Allie) of Newport Beach, CA; along with several nieces, nephews and special friends. A private celebration of his life will occur at a future date. Memorials to MN/ND chapter of the Alzheimer's Association
