Olson, Gary Allen 68, of Zimmerman, Minnesota, passed away on November 9, 2019 in the comfort of his home on Blue Lake, surrounded by his family. Gary is survived by his wife Linda of 47 years, his daughter Carrie (David) Brumbaugh, son Jeffrey (Ali) Olson, and six grandchildren: Elliott, Peter, and Adele Brumbaugh, and Asher, Finnegan, and Mackenna Olson. Gary was born March 18, 1951 in Minneapolis, MN to a family of 13 children. He was raised by loving foster parents in New Hope, MN. His passion was music. He played cello in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony and later played piano in several churches. He deeply loved his family and adored his grandchildren. He was a master carpenter and home builder and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. He always appreciated a good conversation with a friend. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 23 at Freshwaters United Methodist Church, 112 7th Ave N., Princeton, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
