Yost, Kenneth Owen Age 77, of Golden Valley, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2019. Survived by wife of 51 years, Gail; children, Erik Yost and Katie (Brian) Grace; grandchildren, Jack and Greta Grace; sister Pamela (Robert) O'Brill; sister-in-law Fay Kittelson (Nancy Vang); brother-in-law, Dan (Bonnie) Kittelson; nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Kermit and Jeanette Yost; sister, Judith (Robert) Mason. Ken was born in Chicago, IL and attended Notre Dame High School and Loyola University for under-graduate studies. Upon graduation in Industrial Design from Illinois Institute of Technology, Ken taught at California Institute of the Arts and Arizona State University. In 1978 Ken and his family moved to Golden Valley, MN. Here he focused on the creation and fabrication of precision scale models for a variety of industries. He was a long time member of the Basilica of St. Mary where he was involved in numerous liturgical, social, and outreach programs. Ken touched the lives of many people with his outgoing personality and engaging manner and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and business associates. Visitation service will be held on Monday, September 23 at 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm and luncheon at the Basilica of St. Mary.
