Laier, Patsy Ann Age 78, passed away suddenly Wedneday, September 4, 2019, at her home in New Hope, MN. Patsy was born in Ashland, WI, but actually lived in Hayward, WI with her family. She was a graduate of Hayward High School class of 1959. She then attended the University of Wisconsin - Superior where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career at Thorson Elementary later moving to Meadow Lake Elementary in New Hope, MN, teaching second grade. She continued in the Robbinsdale School district for an impressive 34 years. Her first love was teaching all the bright new faces that came into her classroom each year, helping to mold their young, inquisitive minds and guiding them on their journey into adulthood. She was exactly where she wanted to be for as long as she wanted to be there. In addition to teaching, Patsy enjoyed her close circle of friends, reading, traveling, and various cultural activities. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ann Laier. She is survived by her sisters Margaret (Maggie) Shields/(Gary) & Beverly Erickson Moen/(Jim); her nieces Erin and Tari; & numerous cousins. There will be no formal services.
