Hoefs, Kathryn "Kate" (91) went to heaven on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. Therese, New Hope where she lived for nearly 4 yrs. Kate was preceded in death by parents Mary and John Koppi; siblings PFC John Jr., Albert, Jerome and Judy, former husband Leroy, special friend Frank and nephew Leonard. Kate is survived by children John (Deb) Hoefs and Elaine (Steve) DeVries, grandchildren Mike (Jill), Jeff (Julie), Dave (Kelly), Anna (Brent) Kudak, Kris (Jared) Stoneberg and Sarah (Dan) Kasner; great grandchildren Aiden, Zoe, Elle, Jacob, Joshua, Clara, David Jr., Quinn, Thomas, Henry, George, Louisa, Jared Jr., Vernon, Caleb and Duncan; nieces/nephews (of Albert) Mary, Ken, Sharon, Kathy, Mike, Donna, Jim, Barb, Linda, Patty, Janet, Carol, Nancy, and (of Judy) Scott, Julie and Joel. Kate always brought the love of Christ, joy, and her fun character to all those she met. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. May she Rest In Peace. In Kate's Memory, the family suggests that any contributions be made to benefit two of her great grandchildren, Caleb (5) and Duncan (4) Kasner, that suffer with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a fatal and progressive neuromuscular disease. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Kasners Kick Duchenne to help these children directly or a deductible contribution may be made to Charley's Fund, a 501C3 charitable organization, to fund DMD research.
