Dalin, George Allan Age 94, pass- ed away at the MN Masonic Home on August 19, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and wife, June. George Allan was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946. He was employed at Northwest Airlines where he worked his way from airline mechanic to Director of Quality Control. Retiring in 1987, he took up motorcycling, traveling the United States, parts of Europe, Australia, and the Soviet Union. He rode his Moto Guzzi motorcycle regularly until the age of 92. He is survived by his three children; Deborah (the late Todd) Knopf, Lawrence Dalin, and Rica (Curt) Giersdorf, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother John Dalin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be at 10 AM on Friday, Sept 6th at Portland Avenue United Methodist Church, 8000 Portland Ave., Bloomington; followed by an 11 AM service and a light lunch at the church. An Honor Guard ceremony will be held at Fort Snelling at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Portland Avenue Methodist Church.
