Johnson, Roger Elliot Age 79, passed away on August 19, 2019 and was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 56 years Margaret. Roger was born on March 28, 1940 in Minneapolis to Ingvar and Ethelyn Johnson. He graduated from Minnehaha Academy and attended North Park College and The University of Minnesota where he received his Master's in Education. He was a gifted athlete and played football in high school and college, and later was a football coach. Roger was an educator in the Robbinsdale School District for many years. For 40 years, Roger and Margaret lived in Golden Valley where they raised their two daughters Sara and Katie. Roger was devoted to his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, and he had a quiet faith that was strong and unwavering. He never published a book, wrote a play, or traveled the world. He consistently chose the ordinary path of loving those around him as his primary focus - everything else was secondary. Roger is survived by his daughters Sara Johnson and Katie Martini (Lee), grandchildren Joey and Kirsten Meltzer, Maddie, Ellie, and Molly Martini.
