Anderson, Ruben J. "Jim" age 92 of Apple Valley, MN formerly from Richfield, MN passed away peacefully on August 10, 2019. Jim was born in Steele County, MN. He served in the United States Navy during WWll. He was a long time employee (35+ years) at Sears where he worked as a technician and mechanic. Survived by his loving wife Helen of 72 years; sons, Gary (Barb), David (Vicky), daughter Pam Krohn; grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon (Keisha), Stephanie Sullivan (Keith), Gerit Trobaugh, Tom (fiancée Jessica Holt), Dana Monroe, Melissa Burkhardt (Matt), Nicolas, Ashley Krohn, Coralie Hanson (Mike); 17 (+ 1 baby on the way) great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother Dennis (Sheila) and numerous relatives and friends. Jim will be remembered for his love of family and life. Visitation Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 2-5 PM at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield, MN. Funeral service Monday, August 19, 2019, at 11 AM at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 7625 Chicago Ave. S., with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Luncheon to follow service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
