Tjosvold, Dave Age 81, of Sun Lakes, Arizona (formerly of Osseo, Minnesota for over 30 years), passed away in Arizona on Thursday February 14, 2019. Dave slipped away quietly, surrounded by family and the sounds of conversation and laughter from the voices he has known and loved for so many years. Preceded in death by his parents Carl and Virginia Tjosvold. Dave is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Greg and Scott, daughter Cindy and his grandchildren Christian, Kylie, Ashton and Parker. A proud Minnesotan, Dave grew up in Granite Falls, along with Patricia Gunhus and in 1958 Dave married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life. Dave earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bemidji State University. In 1966, Dave went on to coach athletics at North Hennepin Community College where he coached both basketball and golf over a career that spanned three decades. A fierce competitor Dave always sought to bring out the best in his players and in himself. A loving husband and devoted father Dave worked hard to plan and provide for his families' needs. A kind, accepting, thoughtful man with a quick wit, Dave's ability to see the best in people, to listen with an open mind and to give with a generous heart transformed the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
