Nordin, Roberta Rae "Bobbie" nee Olson age 86, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 10. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Edith Olson and survived by loving husband of 63 years Bruce, son Rob (Nancy Kosciolek), daughter Nancy Tagle (George), six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was born in New England, ND and lived in Minneapolis and Bloomington, MN for most of her life. A proud alumna of Miss Woods School at Macalester College, Bobbie taught in the Richfield Public Schools before turning her attention to raising her children. Bobbie returned to the workplace in the 1970's and was characteristically ambitious and successful. Bobbie was ever curious, a life-long learner and enjoyed keeping up with current events and popular culture. She is remembered for being grounded in what is fair and just and an individual's right to live without prejudice as well as her humility, grace and sense of humor. In other words, a Renaissance woman. Like her father Bob, Bobbie loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed her feline companions, her children's cats and dogs and wildlife when-ever and wherever she encountered it. Bobbie had a keen aesthetic sense, terrific taste and had a knack for making those things around her more beautiful than they would otherwise be. Memorial gathering at 3:00 p.m. March 9th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. Edina. In lieu of flowers, Memorials preferred to The Raptor Center, Feline Rescue or donor's choice.
