Schlee, Ione Alice January 24, 1932 - February 14, 2019 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Ione Alice Schlee, age 87, of Wayzata, went to be with her Dewey on Valentines Day, 2019. Preceded in death by DuWayne, her husband of 54 years; children Dana (Bill) Knorr, Kurt, and Clark; parents Albert and Catherine Schwaab. Survived by children Jennifer (Tim) Horan, Nick (Nancy) Schlee, Paula Nelson, Angela (Geoff) Thompson; daughters-in-law Dawn Fallt and Nancy Schlee; much-loved fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brother Joseph (Grace) Schwaab. Ione loved being out in nature, listening to the birds sing, feeding the ducks down by the lake, or basking in a beautiful sunset. She will be greatly missed, and remembered always. According to her wishes, Ione's life will be celebrated at a small family gathering later this spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Friends of Three Rivers Park District In Memory of Ione Schlee, 3000 Xenium Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55441. A tree will be planted or a bench placed in her memory in the park.
