Stricker, Russ Age 71, died February 9, 2019, surrounded by loved ones after a valiant battle with myelofibrosis. Russ served as Director of the South Hennepin Human Service Center, as Research Director and Vice President for the Council on Crime and Justice, and developed and managed the Intensive Supervised Release Unit of Henne-pin County Community Corrections. He was an accomplished baker and gourmet chef. He loved to travel, and especially loved the outdoors, camping and canoeing. Russ is survived by the love of his life, his wife Jill. He leaves his son AJ Stricker; his daughter Ali (David) Pankratz, and their children Ahna and Will; his former wife Barbara Stricker; and Jill's daughters Dana (Mickey) Brink, and their children Amelia and Jacob, and Erin (Scott) Robberstad, and their children Ella, Kayla, Morgan and Logan; his mother Mary Stricker; brothers Robert (Sarah) Stricker, Roy (Nancy) Stricker, Ron (Gloria) Stricker, and sisters Ruby (Dennis) Anderson and Rhonda Layer. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Sierra Club or PBS. A celebration of Russ's life will be held at 3:00PM on March 5, 2019, at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave, Minneapolis.
