Rockswold, E. Palmer Age 102 of Edina. Passed away peacefully Feb. 12, 2019. Preceded in death by first wife of 42 years, Myrna; 2nd wife of 23 years, Betty; daughter-in-law, Susan. Survived by children, Gaylan (Mary), Gordon (Kate), Grant, Gary (Wendy); grandchildren, Sarah, Paul, Nathan, Erik, Beth, Alice, Mark & Jessica; great- grandchildren, Benjamin, Serianna, Mary, August, Ethan, Dylan & Nora. Palmer spent his career as an educator. He started out at a one room school house in North Dakota. He then moved to Minnesota and taught as a history teacher and band director. Later in his career, he became an administrator. He retired in 1976 after spending 25 years as a school superintendent. He enjoyed travel, writing and promoting a book "Per" about his father. In his later years he resided at Brookdale of Edina where he served as president and was active within the community. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather, and will be deeply missed.
