Jevon Tilman Lieberg

Lieberg, Jevon Tilman age 76, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, after a long battle with Parkinson's. Jevon was born September 21, 1942 in Warren, MN to Martin and Emma (Johnson) Lieberg. Jevon graduated from Warren High School in 1960 and from the Area Vocational Technical School in Thief River Falls in 1962 with a certificate in Electronics. After working for Bell Telephone for a short time, Jevon moved to Minneapolis and worked for IBM for 30 years before retiring at the age of 50. Jevon married Penny Fournier on March 7, 1964. The two were best friends and life-long companions who enjoyed traveling, socializing with friends, and just being together. Jevon, also known as "Jon" and K0FQA to his friends, was a ham radio enthusiast and loved to spend hours in his basement electronics man-cave talking and listening to people all over the world. Jevon is survived by his loving wife of almost 55 years Penny, Rogers, MN; sons Tim (Candy) Lieberg, Brooklyn Park, MN, Michael (Julie) Lieberg, Sartell, MN, Mark (Robin) Lieberg, Maple Grove, MN, and Patrick Lieberg (Anne Bruce) Rogers, MN; 11 grandchildren: Justin (Katie), Ashley, Haley, Logan, Josh, Jordan, Jake, Kieran, Eastan, Jason, Karissa; sister Elois Snyder, Fort Worth, TX; brother DelRoy Lieberg (Janet Harper) Harlingen, TX; and 13 nieces and nephews. Jevon was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Emma, sister, Doris Benson, brother-in-law Floyd Benson, sister-in-law Jeanette Lieberg, and nephew Jim Benson. Visitation Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church-Saint Martin Campus, 21304 Church Ave., Rogers, MN followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
