Gale, Robert A. Age 76 of Edina passed away Sunday, February 3, with his wife, Karen, at his side. He was born January 7, 1943 in St. Ann, Missouri to Robert and Ruth Gale. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Karen (nee Easterlund); beloved children Robert (Nancy) Gale and Nathaniel (Beth) Gale; cherished grandchildren Robby, Christopher and Emily Gale, sister Bea (Richard) Jones, sister-in-law Leslie Gale and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Gale, sister Sandra Barker, and brother-in-law Nick Barker. Robert loved his family especially his grandchildren always attending their sporting events, concerts, theater events and "hanging out" with them. In his career in the transportation and logistics industry, he worked for Pillsbury, International Multifoods and MnDOT. He also served as a Lieutenant in the Army at Fort Eustis, Virginia and Camp Carroll Depot in Wagwan, Korea. He had a dry sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He loved classical music and was a cellist during his high school years in the St. Louis Philharmonic. He was a proud alumnus of the University of Houston. He will forever be loved and cherished. Visitation will be Tuesday February 12th at 1-2 PM, Memorial Service at 2-3 PM and Refreshments at 3 PM, all at Excelsior Covenant Church, 19955 Excelsior Boulevard, Excelsior, MN 55331. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the church.
