Femrite, Edward J. Age 84 of Minneapolis passed away January 14, 2019 after extended health struggles. Edward retired from 3M after 39 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, John and Alice; sister, Mary; and brothers-in-law, Richard Kilby and Ev Melvin. Survived by wife, Janet; children, Scott (Deb), Timothy (Becky), and Jack; grandchildren, Ann Gust, Edward (Ted), Thomas (Melissa), and Kalley; great-grandchild, Knox; brother, Arnold (Darlene); sisters, Sophie Kilby, Margaret Melvin, Sylvia (Dave) Stadden, and Joann; and many other dear family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Legacy St. Anthony, Allina Home Care Hospice providers, and the HealthEast Care providers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11AM with a visitation one hour prior at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1509 NE 27th Ave, Minneapolis, 55418. Active pallbearers are Scott, Tim and Jack, Edward (Ted), Thomas and Ann Gust. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society and Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church.
