Ross, Paul David Age 94 of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully on January 13, surrounded by loving family. He lived a fully accomplished life. Paul was highly devoted to his family, especially his dear wife Connie of 67 years, their three children Barry, Mike and Jeff and their families and extended families including Francie Ross, Kim Ross, Debbie Ross-Staska and Kevin Staska; grandchildren Adam Ross, Cori and Genna Levin, Ben Ross and Katie and Travis Block, Lydia Ross and Peter Koch and Max Ross; and great grandchildren Bexy and Zoraya Levin, Tali and Zack Koch. Family was the centerpiece of Paul and Connie's life around which Paul built many lasting friendships and a deep and enduring commitment to the St. Paul Jewish community. In his early years Paul went into business with his younger brother Jerry, (who preceded him in death) to start what eventually became Ross Associates, a highly successful manufacturers' representative for ladies ready-to-wear that serviced the entire Midwest. His acumen as a businessman was a loss to the local music community as Paul was a lively jazz piano player, a talent that remained lifelong. Approaching retirement, Paul joined Connie in volunteering their resources to helping others, and he was especially committed to his synagogue, Mount Zion Temple, and Sholom Home East nursing home where he sponsored and implemented a music program to enrich the lives of many seniors. In recent years Paul was especially proud of organizing and leading a discussion group of current events at Sholom Home. In 2011 Paul was recognized by KARE TV and Minneapolis/St.Paul Magazine as one of ten 'Hall of Fame' community volunteers for his ongoing contributions. Funeral service was 2:30 PM, TUESDAY, January 15, 2019, at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave., St. Paul. SHIVA took place Tues. 7 PM at Sholom Home East, 740 Kay Ave, St. Paul. Paul's life may be honored by contributions made to either Sholom Home East or Mount Zion Temple. hodroffepstein.com
