Knutson, Albert Age 85, went to be with his Lord on Oct. 23rd. Pre-deceased by parents Albert and Alice (Smalkoski) & son, Daniel Knutson. Al was born and raised in NE Mpls., graduated from Edison High School and attended ROTC training at the University of Minnesota. He served as a navigator in the US Air Force and worked as a draftsman, sales consultant, engineer, manager, inventor and entrepreneur for many companies, including Arctic Lodge, Strom Engineering, and Medtronic. Al was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist; hunting and fishing were his passions, along with knife making, and designing and building birdhouses. He loved raising horses and dogs, especially his beloved golden retrievers. Al was a long time member of the Fur, Fin, Feather Club & the Question Club, hosting wild game dinners for over 15 years. Al is survived by two daughters, Sue (Craig) Halvorsen and Kim Hover; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; aunt, Harriet (Bill) Corcoran; many cousins; former wife, Gail; & hunting partner, Rick. Also, many other close and dear friends that he counted as family. Al's life will be celebrated on Thursday, November 15 at 1 pm at The Osseo American Legion, 260 4thAve SE, Osseo, MN.
