Patterson, Theodore, Sr. Age 78 of Chisago, MN passed away October 31, 2018 with his family lovingly by his side. Preceded in death by parents Clifford and Lillian Patterson; sisters Violet, Esther, Maryjane, Olive, Geraldine, Maryjane; brother Clifford, Jr.. Survived by loving wife of 53 years Marcedise Patterson; daughters Tammy (Steve) Borman, Teri (Paul) Gerlach; sons Theodore, Jr. (Tia) and Tyrone Patterson; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings Pearl, Geraldine, Olive, Bobby, Roger, Harvey; many nieces and nephews. Ted was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 24, 1940, enlisted in the Army Medical Corp in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1962. Ted went on to work at the Star Tribune for 31 years. He enjoyed cooking, watching war movies, eating his favorite pizza and spaghetti with meatballs (the size of door knobs). He enjoyed teasing and giving a hard time to those he became close to at Ecumen Parmly Nursing Home. His last four years of life was a true gift from God, which allowed him to spend precious time with his wife Marcy and family getting together to enjoy Sunday mornings in church listening to his favorite gospel singers, Dennis and Dave Johnson while tapping his knee with his hand and singing along. Also getting together with his family at the nursing home for special occasions. Thank you dear Lord for giving us the opportunity to show how much we love one another.
