Survived by husband, Doug Ness, daughter Abby, and brothers James Ferguson (Deborah), and Larry Ferguson. Ann was a loving wife and mother, a giving friend, and an accomplished business professional who made a lasting impact on both her friends and colleagues. Born on September 27, 1953 in Indianapolis, she attended Indiana University, graduating with a double major in Journalism and Political Science. Ann's first position was as a reporter at the Edwardsville Intelligencer, later becoming the paper's first female Editor. She then moved to Minneapolis, where she transition- ed into the advertising business. Starting as a keyliner, she later moved to account management where she excelled due to her natural people skills. Subsequent career moves led her to a specialization in corporate brand management and organizational leadership. Ann took great pride in the role she played in creating and promoting several notable brands, as well as the teams she built and the working relationships she forged in her 30 plus years in marketing and branding. In addition to her career accomplishments, Ann sat on the board of a number of civic organizations as well as participating in numerous professional groups. Ann lived her life to the fullest. She adored her husband and daughter and loved and laughed with her many friends and colleagues. We will miss her incredible energy, optimism, and ethical approach to business and to life. Even in the face of a 24-year battle with cancer, she was a model of strength, courage and dignity to all who knew her. We will miss her brilliant smile, her everlasting kindness, and the core of love that drove her. Be at rest sweet "Annie".
