Kammeier, Wallace Joseph "Wally" 90 of Minneapolis; Minnesota passed away peacefully wrapped in his U.S. Marine Corps blanket on October 17th, 2018. He was born on December 4th, 1927 in Albany Minnesota. He was preceded in death by parents Albert and Cyrilla, wife Nancy, Special Grandson Brian, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. Survived by sister Lila, brother Cyril, daughters Susan (Stephen) Poitras, Kim (Susan Jack) Kammeier, Carole (Jim) Lampi; AFS daughter Diana (Tony) Desmond, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. Wally enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1946. He then attended Dunwoody Institute on the G.I bill, met and married Nancy. Employed at General Mills (Engineer) residing and raising a family in Northeast Minneapolis. An outstanding Handyman, audiovisual and computer expert. Always on call to repair devices and appliances for family, friends with his motto, "No Job Too Small"! Never Purchasing a greeting card as making his own was pure enjoyment for Wally. His passion for music showed in the amazing amount of downloaded cd's that he made as gifts and hundreds of songs in his iPod.
