Wen Tsai 'Julia' Pan

Pan, Wen Tsai "Julia" Age 102 of Suzhou, China, passed away October 24, 2018, in Highstown, NJ. Julia was a long time resident of Princeton, NJ and moved to Minnesota to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Wen Yuan Pan and son Dr. Victor Pan. Julia is survived by her daughter Helen (Dr. David) Troxel and son Dr. Peter NY (Carolyn) Pan; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Pan, Dr. William (Dr. Sophia) Pan, Robert (Karen) Pan, Victoria (Michael) Coaty, Kimberly (Steve) Ratzloff, Dr. Scott Troxel, Michael (Jennifer) Troxel, Patricia (Josh) Connor, and Tracy (Brad) Bechtel; great-grandchildren, Christopher (Kelly) Coaty, Elizabeth Coaty, Lauryn Pan, Carey Pan, Zoe Pan, Silas Pan, Nathan Pan, Zoe Ratzlaff, KAya Ratzlaff, Abagail Connor, Lily Connor, Jack Connor, Sophia Bechtel, Linden Bechtel, Jaden Troxel, Carly Troxel, Grant Troxel, Eric Gautier, and Megan Gautier. Julia was and educator in the NJ schools for special education. She graduated from Stanford University in 1939 with a masters degree in education. She worked diligently with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITR) to establish scholarships for Chinese scientists to study anywhere in the world. Funeral service Friday October 26th at 10 AM with a visitation starting at 9:15 AM at Lakewood Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis. Interment Lakewood cemetery following.
