Hagen, Richard S. Age 84, of Minneapolis passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018. Born in Minneapolis, May 28, 1934 to Berg and Esther Hagen, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and John "Jack" Hagen. He is survived by his three children, Valerie, David (Mellica) and Douglas Hagen. He loved his grandchildren, Sean and Ian (Val), Harper (David), Shantal and Steven (Douglas). Proudly served in the US Air Force and reached the rank of Colonel during a thirty-year career. His work for NATO brought him to England, where ghost hunting, book collecting and pub life after retirement, became his norm for many years. Most people say, "He was the most interesting man I have ever met!" Funeral services are to be held at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel on Friday, Oct. 5th, at 1:30PM. We will live broadcast the service via Facebook with details on his Facebook page for those out of state or country. Interment with military honors at a later date with information and instructions to be provided on his Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, the family is donating all memorials to H.O.P.E. of Minnesota (a homeless outreach) and Arm in Arm in Africa (primarily for families and children).
