Davis, Lena Mom passed away at 5:52am on Thursday, August 9. Her battle with this thief-like disease that robs you of your mental capacity and your ability to exist has finally ended. It's very traumatic to see someone take their final breath. When it's your mother, it's traumatic, agonizing and devastating. She fought it long, she fought it hard and she fought it until her final breath. She no longer needs to try and REMEMBER. Our mother was a loving, compassionate and caring person with a heart of pure gold. Thank you, mom, for all you did for us. You earned the title "supermom" without ever needing a cape. We will mourn you, but are also glad that you no longer need to suffer from the effects of Alzheimer's. Rest comfortably now, and we will see you again in Jehovah's new world. Love you. Survived by her husband, Tommie Davis and children Tommie Davis Jr., Michael Davis, Yvonne Brandel, Ronald Davis, Bruce Davis as well as her loving sister Lottie Bowdry.
