They were happily married for 55 years and had four children. Clarice was a proud and passionate nurse, a career that spanned many years and many departments at the VA Hospital, Sanford Hospital, and River's Edge Clinic. Clarice had a warmth, hospitality and kindness that was unmatched. She loved to make people feel at home and was never flustered by feeding large groups with little notice. She loved her family, playing bridge, her church, golf, cross country skiing, and her travels with family and friends. She had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye. She was known for having a curiosity and interest in others, and was an active participant in all 13 of her grandchildren's lives.
