Donna Faye (Minor) Tesch

Tesch, Donna Faye (Minor) Age 85, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep, to be with her Lord on May 16, 2018. Donna was born December 15, 1932 in Livingston Montana, the only child of Bessie (Shireman) and Landon Minor. In 1950 Donna graduated from Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis as a "Teddy Girl". She participated in Concert Band, Marching Band, Blue Triangle, Silver Triangle, German Club, Honor Society, Swing Band and Orchestra. After graduation she pursued her passion of becoming a secretary. Completely against her parents' wishes to attend the University of Minnesota, she attended and graduated from the Minnesota School of Business, where she served as her class president. Recently Donna reconnected with the "Teddy Girls", whom she enjoyed spending time with. A few years later, Donna went on a blind date with a gentleman from Belle Plaine Minnesota, Lester John Tesch. They were married July 9, 1953. Donna worked in the Bloomington Schools for 26 years as a dedicated paraprofessional. In her childhood and early adult life, Donna loved to visit her family cabin on Maple Lake. Her hobbies included: reading, listening to opera, fishing and family genealogy (over the past few years she visited Corydon, Indiana where she discovered several distant cousins). She also enjoyed traveling to many countries outside the US. In recent years she enjoyed visiting her daughters' cabins, and visiting Florida in the fall and winter. Donna was the loving wife of Lester John Tesch (deceased). Sister-in- law to Lawrence Tesch (deceased), Geraldine Tesch, Wally Wormer (deceased) and Dorothy Wormer (deceased). Mother of Barbara Scrimgeour (William) and Shirley Propp (Mike). Grandmother of Billy Scrimgeour (fiancé Sarah Lapin), Laura Foote (Tom) and Brian Propp. "Aunt Donna" to many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Funeral Service Wednesday, May 23rd, 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Chapel located at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. 2250 St. Anthony Blvd, Minneapolis, MN.
