Skoglund, Melvin Edwin 93, passed away on the morning of May 14 with his two daughters singing at his side. He was born in Willmar, Minn. on Feb. 8, 1925 to David and Hannah, who raised him on the farm with siblings Harlan, Chet, Irene and Mildred. He served as an infantryman during World War II, and raised a family in Minneapolis with Arlene, his beloved wife of 58 years, retiring as manager from Donaldson's in 1987. His loved ones will miss and celebrate him, including daughters Michelle Halverson and Brenda Lohmer, son-in-law George Lohmer, grandchildren Krista and Nate Halverson, Gretchen and Mike Hadden, Anne Lohmer and fiancé Landon Jarl, great grandchildren Jackson and Olivia Hadden, and many other family and friends. Memorial service on Monday, May 21 at Peace Church, 2180 Glory Drive in Eagan. Visitation at 10:00AM, service at 11:00AM.
