Koellen, Don M. Age 78, of Spokane Valley, WA passed away May 8, 2018 surrounded with love and his family by his side. Born in Minneapolis on February 6, 1940, Don graduated from West High School in 1958 and moved to Washington State with his wife Arlene (Leeny) in 1964. Don loved sports, fishing, barbecuing, dogs and most of all, people. He made friends wherever he went and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Julia Eiserlo Koellen; and his brothers Ted, Jack and Bob. Don is survived by Leeny; children Mike Koellen, Lynn (Steve) McCulley, Todd (Lori) Koellen, Donny Koellen, and Jenny (Rick) Simmet; nine grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; and many special friends in Minneapolis, which was always home to him. A service with military honors will be held at 2:15 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA.
