Ranallo, Raymond "Ray" D. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and just three days shy of his 96th birthday. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Ned and Eva Ranallo (Proper), loving wife, Josephine Francis Ranallo (McKim), sons Robert Allen Ranallo and Daniel Ranallo (baby). Survived by daughter, Judith Ann Ranallo; grandchildren, Jessica Veneskey Linley (Doug), Daniel Joseph Ranallo and Brian Douglas Pederson; great grandsons Royce Raymond Ranallo, Rowan Ray Resch, Issac and Elliot Linley. Brothers, Richard Ronallo, Douglas Ranallo (Bridget) David Ranallo (Donna); Sisters Marg Flatum and Dorothy Vevea, and many loving nieces and nephews. Ray was born in Hudson, Wisconsin May 18, 1922, served in the Marine Corp during WWII, married the love of his life, "Jo" in 1946, and worked as an IBEW electrician for over 30 years. Ray volunteered for Inner City Tennis in Minneapolis for over 20 years coaching young children the joys of tennis and was a member of Senior Tennis for 30 years playing in the Senior Games and winning many metals along with his doubles partner Chuck Suplee. Ray was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He always had time for others and had a curious, tenacious spirit for living. He never passed on an opportunity for a new adventure. Funeral servies will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Lakewood Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55408.
