Quilici, Frank Ralph Former Minnesota Twins player, coach, manager, and broadcaster, and later VP of Western Diversified Insurance Company. He was born in Chicago, May 11, 1938, and passed away peacefully with his devoted wife of 18 years, Lila, and daugher, Kelly, by his side on May 14, 2018 just after his 80th birthday. He is survived by his wife, Lila (Withrow), and children, Kelly, Kolleen, Tony, and Nick; grandchildren Dyami, Zachary, Kassidy, Chelsea, Max, Laura, and Dude; great grandchildren Henry and Lenni Marto; sister RoseMarie and her husband, Tom Kozak; and beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins, his brother in law, Buddy Withrow, and sister in law, Sandra Withrow. Frank is predeceased by his parents, Guido and Laura Quilici, who instilled in him the love of God, and respect for family and friends. Frank never met a stranger and made everyone who met him feel special and appreciated. His vibrant personality, zest for life, quick humor, and his beautiful smile endeared him to all. He lived his life with an amazing energy and intensity, always living up to the highest of standards. Frank's tireless charitable work included causes such as the fight against Multiple Sclerosis, Ataxia, Leukemia, various childrens diseases, help for inner city kids thru baseball programs, Miracle League Fields for disabled children, and many more. He sat on several boards: The Quilici Booster Club,The Harmon Killebrew Foundation, the Twins Community Fund, and the Minneapolis Parks foundation to name a few. His many awards include the Two time All American award in baseball, Kirby Puckett Award for Community Service, one of the 50 Greatest Twins, and Chicago Sports Hall of Fame. The visitation will be at 9:30 a.m., the Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. with the reception to follow Friday May 18,at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4125 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129.
