Ogden, William F. Jr. Died on May 11, 2018 from complications of Parkinson's and heart disease. He was born on July 27,1931, in Atlanta, Georgia. His family moved to Chicago, Illinois, when he was five where he attended the Chicago Boy's Latin School through graduation. He continued his studies at Princeton University and received an AB in Economics in 1953. After Princeton, he was an officer in the Navy serving three years in the Mediterranean. In 1956, he began his career as a loan officer in New York with Manufacturers Hanover Bank and received a JD from NYU law school, which he attended at night. He met his wife, Elinor Ketting, in New York. They moved to Minnesota and he joined the First National Bank of Minneapolis, now US Bancorp in 1962. While at First National, he was instrumental in developing their International Department. He left the bank in 1976 to open his own consulting business, International Finance and Management, where he combined his knowledge of law and finance to assist large and small companies across the Midwest and overseas. He was also a mentor and friend to many in the Minneapolis business community. His experiences working on ranches during his college summers and his love of fishing led him to Montana where he created Eagle Rock Reserve a successful open space development in Bozeman. During his professional career he was active in supporting Westminster Presbyterian Church, Princeton University, the Yellowstone Coalition, and the Committee on Foreign Relations. He was known for his sense of humor, good counsel and kindness to others. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elinor; sister, Ethel Burwell; brother, Ross; daughter, Laura (Steve) Stackhouse; sons, William (Deborah) and David (Helena); and grandchildren, Ellie and Robert Stackhouse, and Billy & Julia Ogden. Memorial service Monday, June 18, 2018 3 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Avenue South, Minneapolis.
