Oppegard, Brian Lee age 64 of Minneapolis, MN passed away April 1 at his home, of natural causes. He was born January 16, 1954 to June and Henry Oppegard, who preceded him in death; also preceded in death by brother James. He is survived by brother Norman and sister Christine, as well as seven nieces and nephews and their families. Brian attended Incarnation Grade School in Minneapolis and graduated from DeLaSalle High School in 1972. He served as a Hospital Corpsmen in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1976. He received a B.A. in Religion from Saint Olaf College in 1981. He was a retired letter carrier. Brian will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, wit and his often hilariously skewed vision of the world. He loved banter and reparte and enjoyed sports, movies, books, music, politics, theology, fishing, the north woods and beer. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 8 at 11:00 am at Incarnation Catholic Church, 3817 Pleasant Ave. So. in Minneapolis, followed by a celebration gathering at the church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Brian's name to St. Jude Fund for Children in Memphis, TN.
