Brynteson, Charles "Chuck" David Age 48, passed away after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer on April 22, 2018. Preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Smith and step-father, Richard Smith, grandparents James Woody, Leota Relopez, Walter & Elaine Brynteson. Survived by wife, Tiffany, and beautiful daughters Cassandra, Charley, Cecilia, and Randi Brynteson, father Richard Brynteson, grandmother Susan Woody, In-laws Harley & Leanne Wells, uncles, aunts, cousins, niece & nephews and many other family and friends. He was employed by the Minneapolis Fire Dept. as Asst. Chief of Operations and retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in the 934th Airlift Wing, 96th Airlift Squadron, Flying Vikings. Chuck was an amazing husband & soulmate, incredible & loving daddy plus their hero, courageous Veteran, and the best firefighter, Captain, and Asst. Chief for the city of Minneapolis. Chuck was a model firefighter, a mentor and a leader in the fire department who encouraged and pushed other's outside their comfort zone to achieve success. His loss is being felt throughout the fire department by the many he has touched. If you were lucky to be his friend, you had a friend for life. Chuck enjoyed golfing, reading, gardening, and late-night discussions with friends & family. He will be deeply missed but never far from our hearts. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the U of M Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for college funds for their three daughters and a foundation to be started in Chuck's name to help other fire department families affected by cancer. Funeral service 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 1st at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Mpls. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
