Lucille Mae 'Lucy' Warkentien

Warkentien, Lucille "Lucy" Mae Of Eagan, MN. Surrounded by her loving family, Lucy went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2018, just shy of her 93rd birthday. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Warkentien, together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage. She is survived by son Byron Warkentien, daughters Dr. Joyce Warkentien and Jan (Peter) Ramstad, granddaughters Jennifer (Patrick) Rydeen and Christine (James) Schuster, brother Jim Blackett and nephew Brad Blackett. Lucy grew up in St. Paul and had been a resident of Eagan since 1955 and for 17 years worked as an executive assistant in the finance function at Univac. Don and Lucy were active members of First Baptist Church in Minneapolis and later Peace Reformed Church in Eagan. Lucy was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Her joyfulness, optimism, sense of humor, and zest for life impacted all who knew her. She was a talented artist and had many creative abilities. She enjoyed entertaining and was a frequent and gracious host. She was a devoted Nana and especially proud of her two granddaughters. Her unwavering faith and trust in the Lord was an inspiration for all who shared in her life. A memorial service will be Tuesday, April 24th at 2pm at Peace Reformed Church, 2180 Glory Dr., Eagan. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Peace Reformed Church or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
