Carlson, Elaine Age 98, of Edina passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018. She spent her final days surrounded by an abundance of love from her family. Elaine was born to Ida and Arthur H. Roth and was the youngest of six children. She married Dean Carlson in 1943 and together they raised 4 children during their 53 years of marriage. Elaine was a vibrant, intelligent woman who made a life using her many talents. Educator, pianist, writer, puppeteer, tennis player, volunteer. She had a broad range of interests and pursuits and was involved in many organizations over the years including AAUW, PEO, Inner City Tennis and her church. She had many friends, loved children, and cared deeply about her family. She is preceded in death by her five siblings, her husband Dean and son Peter. She is survived by daughters Pamela, Priscilla (Richard), son Charles (Elizabeth), daughter-in-law Marsha, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews all of whom will miss their Mother/Nana/Auntie Elaine deeply. A celebration of her life will be 2 PM Friday, May 18th at the Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100. Visitaton one hour before services.
