Bass, Kathryn Age 17, of Excelsior. On March 22nd the world lost Kathryn Claire Theresa Bass. Kathryn was irreplaceable, she brought joy to those who knew her and often put others before herself. Through her art she shared her creativity and vibrancy with others. Kathryn had many passions, including painting, sculpting, reading, and writing poetry and prose. She was a fierce advocate for social change and justice and never hesitated to stand up for a cause she believed in. Kathryn was a junior at Minnetonka High School. She is survived by her parents, Rosalie Minion and Douglas Bass, and her five siblings, Rachel, Annie, Myron, Frank and John. Nephew Evan Humenik. Funeral service Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11 AM at Ridgewood Church, 4420 County Rd 101, Minnetonka (952-474-0858). A visitation will take place Wednesday, 4-8 PM at Huber Funeral Home, 520 2nd St, Excelsior and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. A reception will follow the service.
