Scarcella, Dominick Michael born May 1920, lived a long and wonderful life, which came to a peaceful end in March 2018. Born in Rosarno, Italy he moved to the US with his parents Michael and Josephine when he was just a small child, growing up with his 6 sisters and 1 brother in Duluth, MN. Married to his high school sweetheart, Betty Ann Beatty, and after traveling with the Navy in WWII, they settled in the MInneapolis suburbs and raised 3 children, Michael, Diane (Erickson), and Nick. Dominick (or Dom, or Nick, as many knew him) worked for 30 years with Cargill, and he and Betty Ann spent their retirement winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Always a sports fanatic, Nick excelled at baseball, football, bowling, billiards, horseshoes, was good at cards & darts, and...well, he "enjoyed" golf too :) A soft-spoken and humble man, Dom was always there when family needed him. He will be missed by his family and friends, of which there are many, but those who knew him well recognize that he lived life for all it was worth, and was blessed with many friends, siblings, children, nieces, nephews, grand- and great-grandchildren who believe he has now made his way back to his one true love. Per his wishes, no memorial service has been planned at this time.
