Magnuson, Darlyne Verrall (Sands) Dec. 13, 1921 Dec. 10, 2017 Darlyne Verrall (Sands) Magnuson, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Edward Magnuson and parents John W. and Ruth (Nordlund) Sands of Alvarado, MN. She was a Music, English and History teacher. Throughout her life, she loved learning. Darlyne later retired from Lutheran Brotherhood (Thrivent) after 17 years of dedicated service. Remaining active she volunteered at hospitals, traveled extensively and enjoyed playing tennis until she was 80. Survived by her 2 daughters, Marlene (Ray) Gravlin of White Bear Lake, Marsha Magnuson of Coon Rapids; 1 son, Bruce (Mona) Magnuson of Minnetrista; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Diana) Fakler, Brandon Fakler, Natalie Magnuson, Ashley Magnuson; 3 great grandchildren, Chase, Keegan and Lauren Fakler; 1 brother, Wendell (Michal) Sands of Alvarado and many relatives. Celebration of Life: Roseville Lutheran Church, April 6, 2018: visitation 3 p.m.; service 4 p.m. Memorials are preferred in Darlyne's name to the Roseville Lutheran Music Fund or the United Way.
