Katzmarek, Gene M. 88, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully March 13, 2018 with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gerry; 7 dearly loved children, Barb Hanson, Gloria (Pete) Boo, Charles (Mary) Katzmarek, David Katzmarek (Brother Joseph), Jane Frances (Randy) Barrett, Carol (Christopher) Gilbertson, and James (Abby) Katzmarek; 15 grand- children; special sister-in-law, Lorraine Sitarz; and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 6 PM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (901 East 90th Street Bloomington).
